This pendant offers two distinct faces, each telling a different story. Both equally raw, complex, and full of character. Crafted from ocean-grown matter you've almost certainly never felt on skin.

One side

  • Deep inner fold, like a gaping seed pod or a fossilized bloom
  • Textures range from waxy golden ridges to cracked, sponge-like walls
  • A rounded outgrowth juts forward — surface patterned with fine, dry fractures, like sun-baked mud or parched clay
  • Edge crust is darker, rougher, and curls inward, creating a sense of containment

Other side

  • Feels like an explosion caught in time — a burst of layered folds and shadowed hollows
  • Opens into a pale, scooped-out basin — almost tooth-like, or like a weathered root system
  • One section reveals blackened underlayers, as if scorched or aged by the sea

Mounting

  • A raw brass ring pierces through the dense top — darkened slightly with wear, subtly irregular in shape

Cord

  • Real leather, pale beige and smooth to the touch
  • Soft contrast to the pendant’s rugged form — lets the object speak without distraction

Materials

Wood? No.
Not plant, not animal, not fungus — but once alive.
Everything here is made from real wild ocean-grown Stramenopile algae, a lifeform from another kingdom: Chromista.

You’ve never worn anything like this.
No brand, no museum, no culture has ever shaped algae like this.

No glue. No dye.
No molds. No casts.
No 3D printing. No templates.
No two are the same.

Care Note: Keep Dry

Versiliy artifacts are crafted from real algae—an organic material that naturally absorbs water.

While stabilized, they remain highly absorbent; exposure to water will cause permanent damage.

Treat them as you would an ancient relic: keep dry, keep safe, keep timeless.
